What stays free
Bill audits, explanations, call scripts, guides, the hospital and billing-code directories and the chat assistant are free to use, with or without an account. Contributing, joining a list, or declining to do either has no effect on the help you receive. Contributions do not buy priority, faster answers or extra features.
Where contributions go
- Paying the people who work on the program, including advocacy and patient-help staff.
- Operations: hosting, AI and software costs, security and maintenance.
- Writing and updating free guides and resources.
We don't pay anyone's medical bills with contributions, and we can't direct a contribution to a particular person, case or project.
Not a charity
Patient Bill is not a nonprofit or registered charity. Contributions are voluntary payments to support the work and are not tax-deductible charitable donations.
